God in the Old Testament

There are people who feel that God in the Old Testament is only one of wrath. But they miss the signs of His love and even miss the foreshadowing of Christ who was to come.

What verses and examples do you see in the Old Testament of God showing His grace and mercy? Here is one to start: Exodus 34:6" And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, “The Lord, the Lord, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,"

Actually, the OLD and NEW are exactly the same. Well, the laws do seem harsher in the OLD, but then again, we were dealing with a different situation - a sort of zombie infestation.

The Old Testament was a foreshadowing of the Savior who was to come...and He did in the New Testament. So things are the same and yet they're different because we no longer have to do sacrifices for our sins...Jesus did that on the cross once and for all.
